Strangers on a Train
Created at Brick & Mortar in Cambridge, Mass.
The Leopold Bros. Cranberry Liqueur tastes like fresh delicious cranberries … because they utilize Cape Cod cranberries. So what better to mix it with than a local brew? The subtle Saison spice of the Pas de Dieux reminded me of my mother’s homemade Thanksgiving cranberry sauce, so it seemed the perfect match. The floral components of the BarSol Pisco and citrus notes of the pamplemousse and fresh lemon add layers of flavor and acid for balance.
0.75 oz BarSol Pisco
1 oz Leopold’s Cranberry Liqueur
0.75 oz Crème de Pamplemousse Rose
0.5 oz lemon juice
High & Mighty Pas de Dieux
Shake pisco, cranberry liqueur, Crème de Pamplemousse Rose and lemon with one Kold Draft Cube. Strain into a double old fashioned glass over fresh ice. Top with Pas de Dieux. ■
