Colorado beer-industry pro Sarah Haughey opened The Jailhouse Craft Beer Bar in the squat, 850-square-foot building in Buena Vista that briefly served as the town jail 137 years ago.
The company debuted a second taproom and restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City and opened a third spot in Hanoi in July 2017. It will begin exporting to the US in August 2017.
An immediate hit, the New England-style IPA Codename: Superfan quickly became the taproom’s top seller. In the following months, the Colorado brewery stopped canning its previous flagships, a West Coast-style Red IPA and a Double IPA.

When the industry’s so-called “third wave” washed over Denver, it grew the ranks of breweries from fewer than 10 in 2009 to more than 45 today.
