Marketed in the UK as Bee 17 after the flying fortress of the American Eighth Air Force during WW2, this beer is half way decent, could grow to like it very much but I wish Carlsberg would not market these as craft beers.

Half decent, not craft.

More pilsner than a lager. As i've thought many time, you should def not trust the price. Price def doesn't equal good taste as i've experienced many times.

Very nice, fresh and good caramel-like maltiness with a pleasant bitterness and balance. Awsome! Def surprised me a bit.
Too bad it's in a PET bottle. Really sad. Saw that it was canned on their website though. Hopefully they change it to none-petflask and I will def will buy this beer again. For the price it's also a bargain.

330ml Can, Home Bargains:
Disappointing stuff here sadly, this one was quite a bland & light offering that thankfully didn't have any skunk or off-flavours showing but wasn't really that enjoyable either. It opened with some grassy flavours, hay & basic citrus with a little caramel sweetness further on but it was unexciting & had a poor balance; not a beer that I'd have again.

No bomble on the label.
Amber colour. Medium frothy head.
Spice, hops and tea on the nose.
Little flavour but this reflects the bouquet. Light dry finish.
Not as bad as most reviews suggest.

A - Fizzy light amber/yellow big rocky white foam head. Retention is around average and there is mild lacing.

s - Actually quite floral in the nose, the dry hopping is apparent and the hop aroma comes through well.

T - Pretty straight up. Floral with fruity hops and a crisp slightly spicy edge. Very slightly sweet, followed by a subdued bitterness upon swallowing.

MF - Low body but smooth enought and a nice dry finish.

Overall - Again this is not actually bad for what it is. Like the Lawn mower this beer is more than drinkable and is pretty well balanced and rather tasty.

A 330ml can with a BB of June 2015. Purchased recently from a supermarket. The name and label are slightly different for this UK version; simply called The Bee 17. Hopped with Saaz and Willamette.

A: Poured into a cervoise. A rich amber colour with some floating sediment and light carbonation. Forms a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before reducing to a patchy surface layer. Slight lacing.

S: Aroma of floral hops with hints of grass/hay, subtle fruitiness, faint white pepper, light malt and delicate yeast esters. Quite nice.

T: Tastes of floral, fruity hops with a crisp, spicy finish. Notes of grass/hay, noble hops, mild white grape, subtle spice, light malt, yeast esters and faint stewed leaves. A twinge of harshness in the background. Very slightly sweet, followed by a subdued bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with soft carbonation and light body. Some mild hop oils tickle the palate. Lightly astringent, accompanied by an aftertaste of stewed hops/leaves, grass/hay, faint malt and a touch of cardboard.

O: Coming from a major macro-brewer this is surprisingly decent (though no world-beater). Average looks, while the aroma and flavour are crisp and lightly hoppy with hints of grassiness. Body is alright for the style. Goes down without complaint; in fact this would probably be rather good on a warm day. Worth trying if you come across it.
