Poured on tap into a shaker pint. This guy makes a double IPA under this name but frequently alters the recipe.
A very nice creamy off tan like head, sits on a solid good simple orange amber body. Clear to see through but there looks to be just a little bit of haze.
Mild citrus and solid grapefruit bent nose with a nice feel orange. This feels dense and clean, it's quite good but fairly straightforward.
Texture comes first before taste. Very creamy in the palate for feel, with a good blast of pine like hops and citrus bent. Oily finish of fleshy grapefruit oils as well, simple and solid.
Overall a great textbook style of a solid DIPA. Love the creamyness of this as well.

From 06/18/11 notes. Had on tap at Franklin's...this was one of the best beers I had by them.
a - Pours a somewhat transparent amber color with one inch of white head and light carbonation evident.
s - Smells of citrus hops, tropical fruits, fruity malts, and light pine hops. Very nice nose; lots of fresh hops.
t - Tastes of citrsu hops, oranges, tropical fruits, grapefruit, fruity malts, and pine hops. Almost no bitterness in the taste.
m - Medium body and moderate carbonation.
o - Overall a really nice DIPA from Franklin's. Lots of great fresh hops, especially in the nose. Bought a growler of this one, looking forward to cracking into it this week.

Beer served on draft at Franklin's. A good IPA overall, think of Pliny the Elder but more bitter and heavier with a dryer finish.
Beer is orange and nearly clear with a nice head of small bubbles, lacing on the glass is mild, carbonation moderate to mild.
Aroma is CTZ grinding hops. Lots of earthy hops in there. Nicely done.
Beer is medium in body and quite bitter, moderately dry finish. Very piny in the flavor in my opinion, nicely done overall, strong, aggressive IPA with a minimal malt backbone, Very tasty. I'd have it again.

Pint on tap at Franklins.
Pours a dark hazes copper with an off white head that fades to a thin cap with thick layers of lacing. Aroma is rich and resiny blend of pulpy citrus and pine. Body is highlight of the beer, thick and creamy with balanced bitterness throughout. Extremely hoppy and piney throughout with a strong biscuit malt backbone. Damn, Im impressed.
