Very dark, very coffee-y. Coffee almost to the point of espresso. I had it on tap in a pint glass. There was a very thin, khaki-colored head that left nice lingering lacing all the way down the glass. The beer is heavy and creamy--a nice smooth drink. Carbonation was low but not to the point of flatness. The smell was very indicative of the taste--dark, strong and coffee-like. The beer was completely opaque with the appearance of dark cola at the edges of the glass. The low ABV combines with the creaminess to give this beer an almost shake-like feel.
Highly drinkable and something I definitely order again.
