1920 Arizona Style Lager is a bright, crisp, easy drinking and super refreshing brew. This light blond lager greets you with a lovely fruity aroma followed by a smooth light malt body and supportive earthy hop undertones. It's beautifully complex palate is achieved through the use of a single hop, Amarillo.

12oz can poured into a pint glass.

L - Expected a clearer golden color upon pouring but it comes out a more cloudy, hazy yellow with a copper tinge, about a finger off soapy white head that dissipates leaving a thin lacing with good retention.

S - Bready malt, cereal grain, corn, grapefruit/citrus rind, honey, orange blossom, spice, slight floral/grassy presence.

T - Cereal grain, cracker, and bready malt up front, some fruity characteristics in the middle--mostly peach, melon, pineapple, white grape, orange, honey, pepper, and a slightly bitter hoppy bite towards the end but very balanced.

F - Light-bodied, crisp, good carbonation, finishes clean. Very drinkable and refreshing.

O - A pretty good Arizona-style lager, good use of one type of hops, and a well-balanced brew that can be enjoyed anytime.

12 oz. can - "Crafted on 09/03/19" stamped on bottom:

Pours deep golden - nice clarity - a thin white head lasts. Some lacing sticks.

The smell is of grain with a grassy/floral touch. Clean.

The taste is of grain/bread. Mild sweetness balanced by a touch fruity (apricot/peach?) and some floral grassy notes. Clean finish.

It is smooth, crisp and refreshing.

An enjoyable easy-drinking well-made lager. Amarillo hops support/balance the solid malt character. Very nice!

Got in a trade with AZBeerDude72. 12 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 6/20/2019. Pours fairly crystal clear medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big red grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal yeasty notes. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is an excellent American lager. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp/clean to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; nicely soft feel for the style. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Awesome juicy/vibrant Amarillo hops, with a perfectly balanced clean Pils/Munich malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering and impressive style example.
