On cask for The Bruery Sucreversary held at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim, CA.
Pours a hazy dark orange-brown with no head. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is of slightly sour with malt, grain, fresh ginger, and nutmeg aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour ginger, nutmeg, and caramel flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with interesting ginger and nutmeg qualities that overpower the base beer a bit in my opinion.
