Had this on tap at the tasting room on my birthday trip in September. Poured a lovely golden color with an orange hue. Lovely, frothy white head on this one. Scent is...holy cow! Tons of fresh coconut. The coconut meshes well with vanilla and the intense hoppiness of Humulus. Such a great-smelling beer (and I don't even care for coconut that much). Taste is sweet vanilla and coconut at first, then immediately followed by hops and bitterness. Other tropical fruits make an appearance in the taste...some pineapple, melon, and a little bit of lemon/orange. Then more coconut. This beer manages to be pleasantly sweet while staying fresh and hoppy. *Disclaimer: This was their regular Humulus pushed through a randall at the tasting room.* Mouthfeel was smooth and creamy...crisp finish. Drinkability is very high. If I din't have to drive back to Fresno that day, I would have drank one or two more of these. Overall, I love regular Humulus...but this one is just a fantastic "variation" of it.
