Its sad when you see the bare minimum 150 characters and a super non descriptive beer review for the sole purpose of beer karma it seems. But I digress. Let's get to the first substantive review of the beer shall we?
A chestnut brown and cola colored pour yields a thin beige ring of head on the top, 1/4" deep I would say. Eclectic mix of aromas, toffee, orange, bourbon. Similar to an old fashioned w/ more citrus. The vanilla was very complimentary, smoothed out the huge abv on this one, made it very drinkable. Really like the minor sour aspect, that also helped smooth such a huge beer out. The mouth feel here was so silky and complex. The toffee stuck around, neither sweet nor chalky, just chillin' in the background, much as the oak did.
Thought this version was definitely superior to the base version. Excellent name for a beer as well. I would definitely pick a bottle of this up if ever given the chance.

On tap at the Bruery 9th anniversary celebration on 05/06/17.
A variant of their 9th anniversary ale with tangerine peel, cinnamon and vanilla. Solid.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
