On tap.
Deep, rich brown. Like burnished Spanish leather. Slight tan head that quickly dissipates.
Smells just like its description. "Stout blended with BBA Imperial Stout with maple bacon coffee." Where the hell do I find "Maple Bacon Coffee?" That sounds like a coffee roaster I wanna marry. The maple and coffee come through first, beautifully. Eventually the bacon peeks in. Aroma finishes with a bright, almost fruity coffee.
Taste does not quite live up to the smell, but definitely not disappointing. The maple is dialed back. Coffee is still there but smoothly melding with some mildly roasted malt. Chocolate notes reveal themselves as well.
Mouthfeel is medium to lite. A tad thinner than I'd like, but not glaringly so.
Overall, a pretty solid offering. If the flavor followed the nose a little more faithfully, I'd be sporting wood.
