The date on this bottle is 08/28/16. Poured at about 55 F into an English 20oz pint glass. The body is dark caramel brown and brilliantly clear. The 1cm tan head rapidly reduces to barely a ring. Smells great, with dark fruit and bread notes. The flavor follows the aromas with vanilla smoothing out any high abv and its dark malt base. Carbonation is low, but seems to lighten the mouthfeel. Not sticky on the finish.

750ml bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours dark brown in color with a one-finger creamy khaki head that has great retention long after the pour, some lacing left behind
S- initial aroma smells just like banana bread; ripe banana and nutty brown malts. Notes of clove, raisins, fruit cake, prunes, figs and cherries. Soft undertones of bourbon barrel adds notes of coconut, vanilla and caramel
T- malty and sweet up front with some nutty brown malts that gives notes of bread crust, brown sugar and caramel. Mid-palate brings out some peppery yeast that adds notes of clove, apple and pear. The finish brings out an undertone of oaky bourbon that adds coconut and barrel juice. Lingers of banana, clove and toasted wheat
M- medium body with low carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into the finish, just a hint of alcohol sticking around
O- a multilayered weizenbock, that is well balanced and flavorful

750ml bottle from Jungle Jim's
Murky brown in color with a thick foamy khaki head, good retention.
Distinctive whiskey aroma with notes of banana.
Taste follows the nose with a big presence of and brown sugar and molasses.
There is a lot going on here that is beyond my ability to describe.
Enjoyed this one a lot!

From the big bottle in a snifter. This solid little weizenbock pours a muddled
dark murky brown with a decent head of light khaki foam that subsides to a
thick ring, thin subtle pool, and shows light lacing. Nose of raisin, subtle banana,
subtle rum and bourbon notes, and hints of vanilla and oak. Flavors surpass the
nose with aplomb. Light bourbon and rum mingles with oak and vanilla notes
over a dark breaded malt with raisin and light banana touches with a hint of
clove and dark brown sugars. Touches of chocolate and anise show with warmth.
Very good mouth feel; medium full body, smooth, rich, lightly creamy, light
carbonation that is subtly fluffy, and a wheat smooth laden finish that is
lightly dry and subtly warming.
Overall, a SOLID brew from a great little brewery.
Cheers

Pours a deep brown, respectable fluffy head. Aroma has some charred banana, clove, wet oak. Palate has lots of depth - rum raisin, roasted coconut, vanilla, rye whisky, oak stave - nice balance between earthier & sweeter flavors. Mouthfeel is a tad thin, and a bit hot on the finish, but overall a very good beer

Pours a root beer brown with quickly dissipating khaki head leaving a ring of bubbly lacing. Nose is sweet stone fruit with hints of woody earthiness. Taste follows with more complex flavors and some alcohol warmth. Nicely done.
