This crowning achievement of our Anniversary Series has been aging for as long as we have been producing beers, 10 years. We added freshly roasted coffee and raw coconut to our classic anniversary ale to create a tropical, toffee-laden barrel-aged treat.

375ml bottle poured into a tulip
A- pours deep brown in color with a ruby hue, one-finger foamy khaki head has short retention, leaving nothing behind
S- bold aroma leaps from the glass, opening with big boozy malty aromas of caramel, toffee candy, maple nut goodies, booze soaked raisins and burnt brown sugar. Earthy coffee, french toast, vanilla cream, fresh coconut. Tobacco, leather, booze and oaky bourbon close it out. The longer it sits, the more complex it gets
T- Sweet and malty up front with immediate flavors of rum soaked raisins, figs and dates, followed by creamy caramel and toffee candies and pipe tobacco. Mid-palate brings out a surprisingly prominent coconut note, as well as boozy notes reminiscent of port and sherry. The finish gives oaky bourbon, more caramel, more coconut and booze, lingers of dark fruit and caramel
M- Heavy viscous body with moderate-low carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns into a chewy and boozy finish, a sipper for sure
O- this is one of those beers that seems to open up more the longer you drink it, Super complexity and another winning slow sipper

A: Poured into a snifter to a deep brown beer topped by a finger of dense and rocky light tan head which fades quickly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of coconuts and coffee with a hint of barrel and dark fruits.
T: Taste is coconut, coffee, vanilla, caramel, dark fruits, slight spice, more coffee, and another round of coconut along with some oak. On the swallow there's more coffee, coconut, vanilla, caramel, and dark fruits with coffee lingering in the background.
M: This beer is full bodied with a slightly creamy feel on the palate. Carbonation is slightly effervescent but it is not over the top while the beer has a drying finish.
O: Overall this beer is awesome. Huge amounts of complexity and some great flavors. The coffee and coconut addition both add some really nice notes to the beer but they do at times overshadow the base beer a little. It would be nice if this variant was a regular offering as I'd definitely buy and drink this one again.

12 oz bottle into snifter
Dark brown, mahogany in color. Viscous complexion, yet few suds and no head to speak of.
Chalky, oaky bouquet. Good wafts of coffee and unsweetened cocoa. Warm bourbon essence anchors the aromas.
Decadent, dessert-like flavors, much sweeter than the nose portends. Semi-sweet chocolate is joined by caramelly bourbon and vanilla, balanced by coffee and oak. Alcohol is masked (bottle lists ABV 16.2%), although the brew heats up a bit towards its long, sticky finish.
Super tasty treat. I guess the kids at the Bruery are sick of all of us hoarders stashing away brews for later use, and are labeling these as to be drunk fresh, but this could last years in a good cellar.
