On-cask at the Bruery
A: The pour is much like the other cask offerings (and the original beer), with a slightly hazed golden color, but little very little white foam.
S: The nose can only be described as dank. An incredibly intense aroma of grapefruit and pineapple with perhaps a touch of other tropical fruits.
T: The flavor is a bit of a let down, especially after the nose. Not as intensely bitter as the Simcoe treatment, but still a nice grapefruit flavor, but a more reserved pine and bitterness.
M: The body is medium with a nearly still pour. Normally I wouldn't think a lager and low carbonation would work, but here it does.
D: My second favorite of the cask treatments. Well balanced and an incredible nose.
