Brewery: The Bruery
Location: Placentia, CA
Style: Barrel-Aged Imperial Dessert Stout
ABV: 9.7%

Peaches are my favorite fruit. What would be tastier than a barrel-aged imperial stout with peaches? Using a tulip glass, I served the beer at 52 degrees. The pour created a frothy and creamy medium tan two-fingered head. The slow dissipation left some lacing on the glass. Charting the dark brown color somewhere around SRM 34, and nearly dark brown. The beer is opaque, and some carbonation is visible on the sides. The appearance is above average for this style.
Nosing the glass, I smell cinnamon, peaches, bourbon, oak, molasses, vanilla, raisins, bready, dark roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, a hint of floral, a touch of herbal, caramel, and earthiness.
I taste peaches, bourbon, cinnamon, raisins, figs, dark roasted malts, caramel, coffee, chocolate, hints of floral, vanilla, dark brown sugar, oak, molasses, toasted bread crust, dark roasted malts, and a slight hint of char.
The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth. The body is heavy, has low carbonation, and finishes long.
I enjoyed this beer a lot. Lots of peaches with the barrel aging make for a delightfully sipping beer on a warm spring day. I am glad I got the chance to try this beer.

16 ounce can, packaged 02/22/22. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head that stuck around a while. There's a lot of lacing too. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like peaches, cinnamon, vanilla and roasted malt. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also some bourbon, oak and burnt/charred malt flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick, a bit creamy and easy to drink with a good amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, wish it had a little more of a peach kick but that's a minor complaint. I liked it!
