On cask at the Bruery

A: The pour is a dark brown/amber color with a rather impressive khaki colored head.

S: A wonderfully spicy aroma, tons of pie spices. A surprising amount of yam character, which I don't get in the regular version. Some nice sweet vanilla notes as well.

T: Great yam flavor with some starchiness to the beer. It's surprising how much more up-front these tubers are in this variation. Nice sweet vanilla, but fairly subtle, and plenty of pie spices.

M: Medium bodied with a low but very smooth and enjoyable carbonation.

D: I wish that regular Autumn Maple tasted like this. A really great twist on this already good beer.

On cask at The Bruery,

A: Pours a dark burnt orange with a mild white head, light lace.

S: Pleasing vanilla notes, more of an outright herbal vanilla than the creamy ice cream like vanilla of the BA Autumn Maple, with the requisite Autumn Maple bouquet.

T: Not that different from regular Autumn Maple, but the vanilla adds a nice twist which complements the base beer, well worth a try. It tasted pretty much like I expected it to.

M: Smooth, creamy, solid carbonation from the cask, full-bodied.

D: A nice beer, I didn't even know The Bruery had a pilot cask on when I went in today, lucky me.
