On tap at the Bruery in Placentia, CA.
"Imperial stout with maple, pecans, and brown sugar."
Deep, dark brown. Almost no head to speak of. Thin mocha colored ring with almost no lacing.
Nose abounds with caramel notes, maple syrup, and some cocoa.
Taste follows suit. Yep, this is a sweet one. I'm ok with that for a glass but could not do more than one fill (plus a topping off ;-) There is a smooth, almost oily, pecan note that gives a slight change from the mostly sweet notes.
Mouthfeel is on the lighter side of chewy, almost no carbonation, and no alcohol warming.
Overall, I enjoyed this, but not sure I would hit this more than once a year.
