The keg blew right before I ordered, which sucked, but thanks to Dan for sharing some of his glass (he was one of the last people to get a pour)!
A: The pour is a very dark brown color with some nice reddish tons to it and a finger of tan head.
S: Tons of oak character on the nose. Vanilla, booze, and chocolate notes come through strongly, and are likely from the Bruery Anniversary ale (Papier, Coton, etc.). Some vinegar notes, red wine, and a mild dark fruit presence, perhaps currants.
T: The tartness is more prevalent on the flavor. Red wine and balsamic vinegars, and a fair amount of dark fruit, including red grapes and wine. Plenty of oak here, some vanilla, some chocolate and maple syrup sweetness, and definitely a touch of booze.
M: The body is medium with a moderate carbonation and a tannic finish.
D: I think regular Oude Tart is better, but this is still quite nice. The Anniversary ale adds a nice complexity to it.

On-tap at Beachwood BBQ, Patrick says a blend of Oude Tart, Dark Sour, and Zinbier,
A: Pours a deep burgundy with a medium off-white head, light lace.
S: Heavy acid with a lot of cherries, red malt, very fragrant.
T: Delicious raw fruit flavours, sour and Bing cherries, cranberries, and the Zin grapes add a distinct vinous note. Medium-high acidity, definitely Rodenbach-esque.
M: Medium-bodied, clean, impeccably structured and drinkable.
D: Fantastic brew, first DBJW last year and the Red this year, I'm really looking forward to the 5th Anniversary.
