Oak barrel-aged imperial sour ale with cherries
Consider this our Terreux-esque take on Belgian-based Brouwerij Rodenbach’s iconic Flanders red. We added sweet and tart cherries to our oak barrel-aged imperial sour ale to mimic the sour cherry flavor of Rodenbach Alexander. Tart, sweet, oaky, and delicious, this traditional-ish beer is not to be missed.

Purple to brown with a two finger khaki head, with lots of floaters swirling. Nose is red grapes and black cherries. Taste opens with red/purple grapes that fold into a tart cherry juice with hints of currants. Body is medium with light to medium carbonation. Ends with a lingering cherry pit and syrup. Overall it’s solid and glad I tired it, but not worth the price tag.
