750 ml bottle, 2024 vintage, bottled 07/09/24. Served in a Bruery Hoarders Society chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch cola-like tan head that fizzled away quickly. Not much lacing at all. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like cacao nibs, roasted malt, tart cherries, vanilla, and some bourbon. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some dark chocolate, oak, and some dark bready flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's syrupy and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. It's boozy, but doesn't quite seem like it's 21.9% ABV either. Catches up to you later though! Overall I liked this one a lot, definitely worth trying if you get the chance!

Black color with a thin, beige head. Chocolate, sour cherry, cocoa, vanilla, and light bourbon in the aroma. Rich, decadent taste with just a little bit of cherry tartness. Warmin finish. High ABV is barely noticeable. Delicious.

On tap at the Bruery.
The cherry cones through a tad on the nose and a bit more in the flavor but the booze really does chime in firmly. For fans of the cherry chocolate rain version expect some serious “warmth” in this version.
