375 mL bottle into snifter.

This is a clinic on a non-blended barrel-aged stout with no adjuncts. Just a lot of time and patience and oak. The brew meets right at the line of a fermented brew and a distilled beverage.

Boozy as all hell, with huge hits of unsweetened cocoa and vanilla bean. Molasses, tobacco to boot. Oaky, and as chewy as a beer comes. Delicious sipper.

Welp...I just may have found my absolute favorite non-adjuncted imperial stout! Including the big boys like Side Project's B.B.T.s! A mixture of milk chocolate/dark chocolate and fudge, a hint of cherry cordials and dark fruits, a touch of butterscotch, and a prominent but balanced, rye-spicy, bourbon barrel nose on this one! Taste follows exactly! And I mean exactly with a beautifully balanced rye spice, bourbon barrel finish. It is really impressive how it incorporates some sweetness upfront to balance the bourbon boozy notes on the backend. Outstanding mouthfeel that accentuates all the nuances. This drinks so smooth for the 19+% ABV that I am not sure if I have had something better. The Bruery has been around a while and doesn't get the accolades as some of the bigger, more trendy, well known imperial stout brewers, but we have to put some respect on their name when they put out a world-class imperial stout like this! Beautifully crafted and I am not sure I have had one any better! Wow! This is amazing!!!

One & Dunn Imperial Grand Reserve pours black, with no head but running "wine legs." The aroma is vibrant, big barrel and rye notes. The flavor is sharp, warm, and sweeter, with hints of chocolate, oak, and rye whiskey. It has a good thick, heavy feel. Overall, it is a huge, thick, sipping stout. Great rye whiskey flavors.
