On-tap at Reserve Society Party 2012
The pour is dark amber/brown in color with an off-white head. Sort of a bland aroma. Some mild vinegar and, like the kiwi, not much pomegranate. A mild berry flavor to it with some strong wood notes, particularly sawdust. Not really too much pomegranate flavor, but still some acetic sourness. The beer is, unfortunately, pretty much flat, too.

On tap at the new tasting room.
A: Pours a slightly hazy dark brown with a few very large beige bubbles which leave no lace.
N: Dark fruits, vinegar, oak.
T: Astringent with faint pomegranate notes. Some tannic oak. Mild tartness.
M: Lite body and lite carbonation. Finish is slightly acetic.
O: Of the variants on the base beer, this is the least enjoyable. The only main distinguishing quality when tasted side-by-side with the others is the appearance.

Pours a clear super dark brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is sour, tart, and funky with some very slight pomegranate aromas. Taste is much the same with only a slight hint of pomegranate flavor. There is an acidic quality on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty beer but it smells better than it tastes in my opinion.

On tap at Stone.
A: Brown bordering on black. Pours still. Not even a bubble.
S: Very strong vinegar with a little pomegranate, some plum, and a touch of grape. Acetone is evident but it's not overpowering. Vinous and vinegary.
T: Strong vinegar flavor with a firm acetic acidity. Prune blends with plum and perhaps pomegranate. I wouldn't have guessed pomegranate if I hadn't read it. Upper moderately sour in an overdone acetic way.
M: Upper medium body with no carbonation. The beer is heavy and completely flat. *scratches head*
Overall: I'm puzzled by this beer. I haven't found any variation to be very good. Maybe they brewed one batch and have been adding fruit to different kegs of it. Though, I'm not sure why it's flat. Too much vinegar.
