Cask to mini snifter, at the Provisions.
Appearance - being that this was tapped from a cask there is pretty much no head, just some light bubbles...but in all reality that's kind of the way Black Tuesday is out of the bottle as well...whatever.
Smell - coffee grinds, fresh, potent, coffee grinds. The smell is definitely way different then regular Black Tuesday. My mind does not think I'm about to sip a beer...
Taste - huge smack of coffee on the first sip, I got the vanilla as I continued to sip the beer through the sitting, but at first all I got was coffee. Unlike the Bananas Foster BT this one is aptly named.
Mouthfeel - for me this had pretty much the same mouthfeel as regular BT, which is basically smooth with a little alcoholic twang at the end.
Overall - being that I had both this and the banana BT after the Black Tuesday event, I did not get to try either Grey Monday nor the BT with mint, I enjoyed this variant the most. Add coffee and vanilla to stout and I'm pretty much going to love it.

On Cask at 2012 Black Tuesday Release Party.
This was a mighty beer! this quickly has become my favorite beer! I hope to see this in bottles in 2013!
A - pours a motor oil black, thin lacing of khaki head that faded quickly.
S - oh momma, did this baby have a nose! beautiful roasted coffee beans, with a nice finish of sweet vanilla.
T - ose repeats here. Upfront flavors of milky chocolate/Vanilla, followed by a bite of fresh coffee.
M - This one was smooth, had some heat on the back end, with a little bit of the acidity from the coffee.
O - hands down the best beer of the night for me, loved it so much bypassed BT'12 on tap to get this twice.

On cask at Provisions.
Well, it looks like Black Tuesday with slightly less carbonation due to it being on cask.
Smell... Wow! COFFEE BOMB! However, I LOVE a proper coffee/chocolate stout. (I'm a total Founders Breakfast Stout slut) There was a very, very fresh coffee scent to this variation, and I only found out two days after the fact that it's because the coffee was ground only the day before the beer was served. I guess that might have something to do with it right?
Taste - Oh hell yeah, coffee, bourbon, coffee, chocolate, fruits, and coffee. This was so much milder than normal Black Tuesday in the booze/heat department that I had a hard time believing that it was actually 19.2%. Last year's BT was 18.2% and it tasted hotter than this variation. bravo you dangerous beer you.
Mouthfeel - Coating everything in sight with a full body on it. Mild carbonation but carbonated enough to give a little feel.
Overall - My favorite Black Tuesday variation to date.

The body of the beer is near black throughout, with very dark brown edges, and a very thin dark brown head. The beer leaves only small, tiny bubbles of stick down the glass.
This beer's hallmark and best attribute is its aroma. This beer smacks you in the face with a blast of freshly ground coffee like no other coffee(-infused) beer I've ever had. The only thing that comes close to this beer's aroma is grinding your own coffee beans at home and shoving your nose down into the grinder. I don't get much to any vanilla character, though there's just a touch of chocolate and mild roast lingering in the background, but the coffee aroma here is astoundingly good.
The flavor isn't nearly as successful as the aroma. The coffee and vanilla additions make the base beer even sweeter than normal. Caramel, toffee, and vanilla notes are pronounced, along with coffee and chocolate; even as a big fan of the base beer, this one is simply too sweet.
Full in body with very low, nearly no, carbonation.
Incredible aroma, and still a marvelous barrel-aged stout, but too sweet to be ranked amongst the best.

This is Black Tuesday with Portola coffee (ground the day before) and vanilla beans. On tap at Provisions for 2012 Black Tuesday. Mini snifter.
A: Pours thick, black, and viscous. Mostly still but with a light tinge of carbonation. No head or lacing.
S: Whoa, like a whiff of straight up coffee grounds. Medium roast coffee. Really overpowering. A little vanilla and dark cocoa show through, as well as bourbon as it warms. Like coffee crusted chocolate.
T: Similar but with more of the Black Tuesday showing through, fortunately. Rich chocolate, boozy, and still the big coffee flavor.
M: Full bodied, light carbonation. A little coffee bite and mouthwatering acidity.
O: For me, the coffee is overpowering. I love the idea (naturally), but this would improve with the coffee dialed back a bit. So far, this is the only BT variant that hasn't been at least as good as the base beer.
