On Tap

The Bruery Initiation Party 2013
Anaheim, CA

Hazed golden yellow. Small ring of near-white foam. Leaves dots of stick down the glass.

Lots of green grape and white wine aroma in the nose, along with a stinging sour character, and lemon. Comes together nicely, but the wine notes are the standout.

The flavor is quite lactic and sour, with great white wine flavor complementing everything nice. Simple, though what's here is powerfully expressive. Complete, though somewhat simple. Tasty.

Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation.

Very nice. I'm interested if The Bruery intends to bottle this one. Perhaps their best blonde sour yet.

On tap for the Bruery Initiation Celebration held at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim, CA.

Pours a hazy yellow with a foamy bone colored head that fades to nothing. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, white wine, and wood. Taste is sour and tart with grain and white wine flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty but tastes more like wine than beer in my opinion.
