i had this at the clusterfork event
got a 2oz pour from i believe a cask
anyway it look like black tuesday but the cinnamon smell was overpowering
and it followed in the taste was like drinking a stick of BIG RED gum
i actually had to force myself to try to drink only had a 2oz pour and drained some of it could not even finish
to me it took a fantastic beer and definitely did not make it better

On tap at the Bruery, 5/5/13 Clusterfork.

A: Pours a murky, near-black brown color like BT. No head or lacing.

S: tons of cinnamon, vanilla chocolate.

T: super good, nice and spicy bite to it.

M: fantastic mouth feel, like sliky chocolate, cinnamon cream

O: Good variation of blacktuesday, would love to have again

Cask

The Bruery
Placentia, CA

Nearly black. Some hazy sediment. Minimal carbonation. Just a few small bubbles. Leaves the glass oily.

Aroma of chocolates, some char, and definite cinnamon. The cinnamon isn't stinging or distracting. It adds a nice complement.

The flavor does not disappoint. The cinnamon is very present, though without adding a whole lot of spice. Chocolate Atomic Fireball without the spice, if you will. The base beer is still quite present, bug with big amounts of Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavors jumping out.

Full in body. Oily. Thick.

A very nice Black Tuesday variant.

On tap at the Bruery, 5/5/13 Clusterfork.

A: Pours a murky, near-black brown color like BT. No head or lacing.

S: Fresh cinnamon like cinnamon toast. It's prominent and at a good level. An undercurrent of dark chocolate and vanilla.

T: Similar to the nose. Very tasty. It has a spicy bite from the cinnamon, especially on the finish and lingering for awhile after. It still has the usual alcohol burn through the sip and into the finish.

M: Full bodied and think, with light but biting carbonation that mellows out over the course of the glass.

O: A very nice embellishment on BT. It masks much but not all of the base, but not necessarily for the worse.
