My son's former hockey teammate brought a mixed 4pck of tall boys over for dinner one evening. It poured a hazy red with thin white ring head that is not leaving any lace. The scent had cherry notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright Belgian malt base with tart cherry presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

(50cl can, EV00547; purchased as part of their 'Parade Pack'... poured at 54 F into my un-etched Delirium Noel tulip)
L: ruby-colored liquid, bit of speckled sediment; tight, pink-tinged, creamy foam... laces like a champ; messy cap maintains
S: cherry/kriek dominant; slight throat lozenge medicinality... bit of fermenting sourdough after a bit... what dimension on the cherry! wow, it's in 3D... cherry pie all day
T: basically juice, hmm... not getting cherry pit, per se, but there is a sort of nutty overtone... little apparent alcohol presence in the aftertaste... I want to say this has a perfect malt backbone, but I can't tell what is what between the juice and grain (and any added sugars)... almost tastes like a Sticke Alt with a shot of cherry nectar
F: pure silk... craving some acidity on the back end (lambic wishes and champagne dreams)... alcohol just under the threshold of sensory arrestment, but a tiny pilot light is present... seductive
O: I understand why folks might think this is (too) sweet, but it's not really - straight juice is sweeter... Huyghe, don't know how they do it, produces some of the best foam around; I'm mesmerized... can I drink a whole can? - probably, definitely, if in the right mood and motivation... I will get this again, partially for its potential in the kitchen (2507)

Poured at 51-52 degrees.
Look: Deep dark red with a medium pinkish white head that has good retention and leaves fine lacing.
Smell: Upon opening the can I was greeted by faint malts which turned into complex fruit once poured.
Taste: Delicious robust cherry sweetness upfront that soon u-turns into a lingering tartness.
Feel: Superb. High in the mouth and heavily carbonated, but yet the bubbles are soft and gentle.
Overall: Not overly sweet, though this brew is definitely a cherry bomb, which for me is a good thing as I’m not an elderberry fan whatsoever. The elderberries become noticeable only once the beer has warmed substantially. I would highly recommend this beer.

One pint can. Pours a dark red with a pink tinged big head with lacing. Big sweet cherry smells. Tastes are more complex with tart tanginess balancing the sweet. Other stone fruit flavors with some prune behind the cherry. Mild carbonation with some fizziness making the mouthfeel drier than expected with this balance of sweetness. Complex but really nice.

Copenhagen 1/12 2018. 33 cl bottle from Netto, Emdrup. As Bouffone Rouge. Label looks like a deranged Child's drawing. Some kind of delirious Jester. Looks more like an Energy Drink than a beer.
Pours dark amber with a deep red hue and as big white head. Settles as thin layer of foam crawling up the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is saturated in Cherries. Reminds me a bit of cheap Cherry wine. A little perfumed with a heavy presence of alcohol. Very sweet.
Strong carbonation. Slightly thick, soft yet tingling and prickly texture.
Flavor is very sweet followed by and balanced by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undertone. Not very long. Sour notes. Light alcoholic burn.
Fruity Cherry Bomb. Has enough bitterness to avoid being nauseating. And enough taste to avoid being too boozy.

Dark cherry color, No lacing
Fruity, malt flavors are masked. currants and dark cherries come to mind
A pleasant fruited Belgian.
And I usually don’t like fruity beers.

I'm a bit disappointed in this beer. This is my second ever delirium and I had expectations that were sky high given how the other one was outstanding. This beer is drinkable but it's a bit too fruity and is pretty sweet. It almost tastes like drinking a cherry coke in terms of mouth feel.
