Tasted at the brewery tap 3/2/16 in a plastic cup.

Good amber ESB with a fairly mellow flavor. The hop aftertaste is a little too pronounced for me . But a warmer beer and an appropriate glass might have improved the experience.

22oz bottle poured in to a pint glass. The beer is a hazy amber color with a off-white head that settled down leaving a few specks on the glass. The aroma is floral hops and some mild earthiness. The taste is floral hops upfront with some malty sweetness coming in before a tart, bitter finish. Medium bodied with a creamy, smooth feel. Overall, this beer is a decent example of the style.

A - Copper colored pour with a high white foam. Slight lacing is noted.

S - Light malt scent. There is a smell of mild hop resin.

T - This is a hop forward ESB. I prefer a bit more malt in the initial sip. Certianly has a bitter finish. Pale malts give this a subdued finish.

M - Decent feel, and medium bodied. Again, for an ESB I like more of a chalky malt in my taste buds. This is still decent in any event.

O - Nice try from a local brewery to try a style that seems far too neglected. Not my personal favorite for the style but I applaud the effort, as it is quite an enjoyable brew.

Poured a deep copper hue with a whispy white cap. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured nutty, burnt caramel malts and a grassy hop.

The taste was driven by the earthy, toasted caramel malt and complimented by vibrant grassy and herbal hops.

The mouthfeel was typical of the style with an extremely dry finish.

Overall a tasty ESB that may actually finish too dry for my taste.
