My first Mother Earth, so I went on their website and had to look hard to find something unique and it was this: they opened a shared taproom space in San Diego with Lost Abbey, an established Belgian-inspired micro. Mother Earth is an IPA specialist (6 of their top 8 brews are IPAs and the other 2 are stouts, something Lost Abbey is not especially good at.) So this is a marriage made in beer heaven? Maybe not, but at least hop-heads and Belgo-heads who are friends and can meet and get what they each want. Great concept. How did it work out? Too radical ?
Anyhow.... Milk Truck tells the truth: the lactose is there abundantly and the delivery is good enough for another can. While Milk Truck Looks slightly above the average, it Smells like a mocha shake with a roasted barley base. Tastes are balanced, nothing too sweet. Medium-mouthed and so very soft and smooth.
Aside for my accolades for Mother Earth (very good Overall Hugs), I like how Milk Latte doesn't try to do too much and be three desserts as once. Just one simple one sweetens the meal.

12oz can purchased at Huckleberry's, in Spokane, WA, for $2.19. Canned on May 23, 2025, per the stamp on the bottom rim of the can.
Poured into a 12oz can glass, this was a very dark brown, virtually black, as it flowed from the can. Held up to direct sunlight, said sunlight was entirely shut out, unable to penetrate the darkness at all. Moderate sized head somewhere between khaki and mocha quickly receded to about a quarter inch but then held steady. Virtually no lace except for briefly existing sheets produced by agitating the glass.
Milky, sweet, coffeeish aroma. Definitely smells like a vanilla flavored latte.
Vanilla latte flavor is definitely prominent. Other than a vague roasted malt flavor in the background, there's not a lot of traditional stout flavor on hand apart from the coffeeish elements. Vaguely bitter at the swallow.
Body and mouth feel is somewhat thin and watery for something labeled a stout.
This is...okay. It matches what's promised on the label, but it's also surprisingly characterless and bland despite doing so. Maybe I'd appreciate this more in, say, November instead of on a 90° early August afternoon.

12oz can served in a footed pilsner glass. 06/13/24 is stamped on the bottom of the can. @2beerdogs handed it to me a couple months ago.
Pours dark brown/black with a minimal head but surprising staying power for the head it does have. Moderate quantity of very fine carbonation is visible. Smell is mocha ice cream. Coffee, chocolate, cream, and vanilla.
Taste is sweetened, vanilla-fied coffee. Chocolate doesn't seem to make an appearance in the taste.
Mouthfeel is smooth, creamy, silky, moderate chew. Overall, nice, easy to enjoy milk stout.

Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 4/25/24.
Appearance: rich, dark brown hue with a finger of frothy tan foam atop. Looks nice!
Smell: nicely interplaying notes of caramel, chocolate, and malt. Reasonably subtle, and well-composed.
Taste: kind of a baking cocoa chocolate character, so a little bitter and not too sweet, along with a few caramel notes. I actually quite like it — a milk stout that’s not too sweet, can you believe it?
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a solid beer! It’s so easy to forget, in this world of pastry everything, that you can have a reasonably dry milk stout with some solid chocolate malt character. Good stuff!

12 oz can from Trader Joes.
She's a looker. Deep dark, nearly black and capped with a solid khaki head that asserts 2+ fingers in height. Solid retention, clumpy lacing.
Nose is hypnotic. Smooth, creamy latte that has a gentle sweetness and a round, velvety coffee roast.Divine.
Taste follows the nose well, but I think it feels tamped back by a lackluster mouthfeel. It feels restrained due to this and seems to limit the flavor's ability to fully present.

I bought a six pack of this stout because it was well reviewed. Unfortunately it has a very strong milky flavor. An odd taste that I really cannot get used to. I'm going to try and return the remaining five cans.
Very dissapointing

12oz can. Bottom lip is stamped 'GENESIS DATE 06/12/23'.
Black colored body, with mahogany back lit edge. Brief lasting tan head. No lacing.
Aroma of roasted chocolate malts, vanilla, and coffee.
Taste is roasted chocolate malts and coffee, with vanilla sweetening all. Minor black licorice note. Coffee bitterness, especially in the aftertaste.
Less than medium mouth feel, but smooth and somewhat creamy from the oats. Okay carbonation.
Solid but unremarkable milk stout.
