Bottle from Canarias Brew Las Ramblas, served at home in a Fantome glass.
Hazy pale yellow colormedium head with short retention, a line of lacing.
Aroma has some bretts, but so much as usual in the style, citrics, malts, fruits, herbs.
Medium body, sour flavor, average carbonation. Dry an dour finish.
Taste follows the aroma.
Very good.

Of the three Saisons from Kernel, this is the best balanced. In the other two, Kernel didn't strike a fruity-tart balance. But it does with Petite. Its balance is even close to a table ale. I drank it with appetisers and cheeses and it worked.
With mixed fermentation suppressing foam, it is hard for Petite to compete with typical table saisons for Looks. But the initial pour Looks inviting until the sediment gets in there. Smells are mostly the barnyard and I'd like more tree-fruit. As stated, Tastes are balanced throughout and the changes are subtle. Refreshing. Light-mouthed for a saison, but cleansing; and soft from the wheat.
Now with 5 from Kernel, I feel like I still don't know them. Their website is a bit cryptic. But it's more that they have this introverted, innovative style. Enigmatic maybe? Anyhow, I still like them and give Kernel very good Overall Hugs.
