Diamond Down is a passable lager at best in our opinion, as it doesn't distinguish itself in any particular category. This beer went okay with wings, but is neither bold and flavorful, nor light, refreshing, and crisp.

Had it on draft at the brewery. Clear light yellow color with a nice white head and good lacing. Smell was a bit grassy and pleasant. The taste was grassy, a bit citrusy, with a nice happiness. It went well with my Vietnamese burger!

Picked up cans on sale in Phoenix. Poured the first glass and was repulsed by the smell and flavor. Emptied the first can and tried to see if the second can was any better. Nope! Smelled sour/vinegary and tasted worse. Emptied the remaining cans and have blacklisted Lumberjack brewing...

Poured a gorgeous clear golden body, bright and crisp, with a one and a half finger bubbly white head. Overall impression of appearance is of an excellent lager. Scents of sweet, grainy Pilsner and Munich malts with supporting aromas of floral and spicy Noble hops and light DMS giving a cream corn aroma. Overall impression of aroma is of a nice Munich Helles lager at first, though it gains a bit more hoppiness that makes it more akin to a Pilsner later. Pleasant. Flavor begins malty with sweet and grainy flavors, before quickly gaining a moderate level of spicy and floral noble hop flavors with medium bitterness. These flavors continue into the middle. Finish is lightly dry with notes of floral and spicy noble hops, underwritten by sweet Pilsner malt. Aftertaste is floral and spicy noble hops. Overall impression of flavor is of a nice lager, not quite a spot-on Munich Helles or German Pilsner, somewhere in-between. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation and a smooth, clean maltiness. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a nice lager. Overall this is a pretty good German-style lager. It is a bit more hoppy than some, but with the right noble hop flavors and the underlying malt is quite pleasant. A good lager.
