This traditional festbier is brewed with authentic German barley. Full of rich toasted malt flavors with a light body and refreshing crispness.

Packaged on July 14th, 2023 - enjoyed on October 1st, 2023. Poured from a pint can into my Moonlight willi-becher.
Dark yet clear chrome orange to amber gradient with a fat finger of champagne/ivory foam. Soapy lacing; average retention.
Faintly toasty/nutty aroma with whole vanilla, whole grain bread, and leaf litter.
Malty palate entry with sandwich bread crusts and faint tobacco/thyme/grassy hop notes. Mild even bitterness leads into a crisp fairly dry (yet still malt-forward) finish. Neutral yeast. Slight mineral-water quality.
Medium-light bodied with zippy carbonation.
Decent, middle-of-the-road domestic marzen - not bad in a pinch, but wouldn't seek it out. I prefer the brewery's sours.

Canned 9/7/21; drank 1/21/22 @ Roadrunner Lodge.
Semi-opaque dull orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a HUGE khaki head; frothy lace.
Sweet corn, acorn & mild caramel notes in the nose.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Caramel, mild banana & faint citrus flavors up front; faint corn notes on the finish.
A bit too sweet, but it's OK in a pinch.

Beautiful in color. This is one of the most beautiful beers I've ever seen. A gorgeous golden fall color with a little shimmer of foam at the pour which dissipates quickly.
Fun German pumpkin Halloweenesque label.
Flavor is good but very light and subtle.

Clear amber colored lager with a medium sized white colored head.
Smells of noble hop from a distance. Yeasty with a grassy and soapy hop scent. Slight scent of grass and saffron.
Starts out yeasty and mildly sweet with a wisp of caramel at the end. grassy and mildly bitter. This pretty much tastes like beer. Heavy on the yeast flavors.
Mouthfeel is OK.
Overall a mild tongue pleasing beer that just isn't very complex. Just the thing to drink by the Liter.

Pretty orangey amber body and full white head. The highlight unfortunately. Not bad but not great, smell and taste are same: caramel malts, orange zest from an slightly enhanced hop presence in the nose especially, bready esters and in the taste only a weird almost butterscotch sweet off note on the finish. Feels malty smooth before a frothy finish, body is heavier for style, but doesn't have the crisp pop or the bready depth as a selling point

Served from 16 oz. can purchased at the brewery last week, bright orange color, slightly hazy. Fruity flavor and aroma, very much ale character, with a subtle blast of hops. In no way an Oktoberfest or Festbier by style, but a marzen brewed as an ale with American hops. Some oxidation.
