I had this at the initial release and thought it was good, but not very tart or funky. With another year+ of age on it the brett really did some work to bring out some lovely tartness and funk! Very refreshing, with notes of white wine, oak, barnyard funk, and light acidity.

Well, it's back. 500 mL bottle poured into Belgian ale glass.
L: 2F+ head with spotty lacing, cap and ring. Beer is a nice golden bronze.
S: Brett funk and yeast, but not overpowering. Belgian malts. Citrus.
T: Citrus, especially grapefruit. Malts, yeast, and Brett funk. A bit of the oak barrel and grape.
F: Light bodied, medium carbonation, really good construction and excellent balance. If it wasn't for the sourness, it would be completely crushable, but that's not the purpose of this beer.
O: Look out Russian River and Wicked Weed; you have competition in this style.

On draft at the Kane fourth anniversary party. This was apparently brewed in 2011 when the brewery opened, but this was my first time trying it. Very nice beer - the tartness from the wine barrels adds a nice complexity to the flavor.
