I had this on draught in a pub. It was served in a pint glass. It poured a brownish-copper color with a one-finger, ecru-colored head and lacing. The color was quite attractive. The smell was subdued because of the temperature at which the beer was served but I detected malt, sweet fruit, spices, and floral hops. The malt was the backbone of the taste but the fruit really came alive with pear and apple, as well as Belgian spices and some sweet caramel. This beer was fairly dry and bitter at the finish. All of the tastes blended well together. It is medium-bodied, moderately carbonated, and despite its 7.2% ABV it was very easy to drink. Overall, this is a well-crafted beer, as one would expect from Kane, and reminds me of something between an ale and a saison. It would stand up to a good meal but is great for casual drinking, as well. It's a fun beer to drink.

This beer reminds me of a witbier, but heavier and with more alcohol. As someone who likes witbiers, this is a stronger version of that style. its listed by Kane as a 'biere de mars' (beer of march) and is somewhere between a heavy winter lager and a light summer pilsner. Thoroughly enjoyable and it will only take a few of these to give you a buzz. Worth trying

Earthy, floral, herbs. Note: I haven't had this style very often. I would try it again, but wouldn't be that eager to hunt it to the ends of the earth.

From 03/26/16 notes. Pint at Cloverleaf Tavern in Caldwell, NJ.

Pours a straw color with white head. Bready malts, grains, wheat, light floral notes, earthy notes, and spice. Not a bad beer, but not a ton going on with it. Lightly bitter hops. Light to medium body and moderate carbonation.

A decent beer but wouldn't seek it out again.
