A nice stout but nothing like some of their others.

I had this on draught at the brewery. It was served in a goblet. It poured jet black with a foamy mocha-colored head and one finger of lacing that maintained its character through the pour. It's really beautiful to behold! It smells of fresh coffee, cocoa nibs, roasted malt, and a whiff of vanilla. It's nicely aromatic. The taste follows the nose. The coffee is fresh-not burnt-and there is a nice flavor of dark chocolate. There is almost no hop presence. It's a really mellow taste and I the barrel fermentation doesn't add much to the flavor. This stout is cream but surprisingly thin. The 8% ABV is barely noticeable. Overall, this id a typical, flavorful Kane stout. It packs a lot of taste and drinking enjoyment for a moderate ABV.
