A Space To Fill is an 8.4% Imperial IPA brewed with Pilsner, Rye, Oats and Wheat. We used Galaxy, Motueka and Wakatu in the whirlpool and double dry hopped with Citra, Nelson, Mandarina, Wakatu and Galaxy, then aged on zest of orange and lemon.

Canned on 10/19. Medium orange with sizable head, modest lacing but, leaves a great ring and cloudy top layer of foam. The nose is out of this world, a sweet lemon and orange mix. Initially a sweet and sour lemon, a very nice hop bite with a malty cracker finish. Carbonation is a bit lower than expected giving it a juicy quality to boot.

Pours a medium straw color with a little cloudiness. Bright citrus hops and orange zest on the nose. Medium bodied, orange and lemon dominate, not overly hoppy, nice malt balance, slightly bitter finish. Overall this is a winner in my book. Not overly hoppy, very bright and refreshing. Delicious.

I had this on draught at a restaurant, served in a shaker glass. It pours a cloudy, nearly opaque golden-tangerine color with a half finger of fluffy, bright white head with good retention, and a thin sheen of soapy lacing. The nose is a pleasing combination of lemon, grapefruit, sweet oats, and the unique smell of Motueka hops. The taste is luscious: lemon, grapefruit, and sweetness from the oats, and pine. The blend of Galaxy, Motueka, Citra, Nelson, and New Zealand hops opens delicately but quickly turns decidedly bitter. The hop blend adds a really complex and thoroughly enjoyable flavor. There is also a slight pepper taste at the finish. It has a delightful mouth feel - rich and creamy with pleasant carbonation, and you cannot help but notice the 8.4% ABV. Overall, this is another sensational DIPA from Kane. It's amazing how they keep pumping out such fantastic offerings.

On tap at uno, side by side with Magnify Flavor Waiver.

LOOK: hazy yellow, like creamed honey. Small white head, but creamy lacing stays long.

AROMA: pineapple, less so orange.

TASTE: Smooth sweet citrus. Very tasty. Somewhere better than overhead and sneakbox, but not quite on the ripple level.

FEEL: medium body, medium to low carbonation. Super smooth.

One of the best hoppy beers I've had from Kane. This reminds me of Trillium's Congress Street. Orange and tropical fruit offset by dank green onion. Little to no malt profile. It drinks like a single IPA. Delicious.
