Batch 1000 was brewed with a similar malt bill but we replaced about 25% of the base pilsner and wheat with rye. The rye addition adds a noticeable spiciness on the back-end and dry finish to the beer similar to Rye Head High we made years ago.
We hopped it with Cascade, Centennial, Citra and Chinook, all hops we use throughout the process on Head High but added a significant amount of Galaxy to the dry hop schedule to replicate the double dry hopped variant we made from time to time. For those who drink Head High, batch 1000 will be familiar but a little different.

Light orange out of the pour that takes you into a hoppy citrusy nose. There's some interesting bite to the palate with a touch of dare I say winter spice. You get plenty of piney hops as well. Nice to stumble upon this beer in Atlantic Highlands NJ and have it on draft!

Canned 7/25...the 1000th batch! Hazy yellowish-orange, a little brighter in color than what I am used to seeing in Head High. A decent head but it faded quickly leaving a nice ring of foam and patchy suds on the surface. Sweet citrus nose w/ hints of bubble gum and peach. A bit spicier flavor than regular but a nice presence of hop bite, orange rind and under-ripe grapefruit. Despite the initial hop bite it is a smooth drinking beer with above average carbonation with an easy finish.

Thrilled to be first review of 1000th.
At the brewer, which is a warehouse in an office/industrial park, at a picnic table, you meet the nicest folks, and get to try rareties like 1000th batch head High, which to my liking is only a bit bigger, fresher, tighter edition of Head High a flagship.
Best of NJ shore along with Carton 077xx and their Odub series DIPAs.
a) Chill haze otherwise clear golden, perhaps my favorite of Kane. Lace, last, the works.
s) Grapefruit bomb with tropical fruit side salad. Dank, herbs, white wine astringency. Citra dominant.
t) Follows smell and adds grapefruit zest, blueberry, melon, and herbs.
f) Resinous. Crisp and dry with a long lasting linger.
o) As fine DIPA as made anywhere.
