Double dry hopping ups the ante from Indicators. Hazy, brilliant gold pour with a healthy white head. Citrus and tropical flavors come at you aggressively in two waves. This beer is ALIVE in the glass!

Like having an ace in the pocket, the brewers of Kane double down on their Indicators IPA with an extra dose of Citra and Galaxy hops to win at the hop war.

Pouring with a golden matte appearance, the turbid Double Dry Hopped Indicators carries a sepia stained bronze color along with a yeasty yellow. As a rich and frothy eggshell cap builds upon the beer a host of tropical and citrus fruits expand into a spicy, grassy, botanical scent before even reaching the tongue. Once it does, the early taste takes a malty turn into a world of agave, cereal and light honey.

As its floral and malty sweetness relaxes, a rounded hop flavor of tangerine, nectarine, passionfruit, pineapple, apricot and lime stem from the complex hop blend. Trending spicy and pleasantly bitter, the late palate brings a bright and spicy flavor of sassafras, matcha tea, botanical gin and freshly shaven spruce.

Medium bodied and extending into a bittersweet finish, the hops outlast the hops in true IPA fashion while facilitating a drying palate for utmost refreshment and drinkability. A medium long aftertaste is of fruit peels, fragrant grasses and woods.

Pouring from a 16 oz. can into a Willi Becher style glass, this beer pours out like a thick sunny d; bright orange and completely hazy. One finger worth of thick, off white crown sits at top.

I can smell a juice before even putting my nose into the glass. Putting my nose in the glass offer layers of melon, papaya, citrus tang, oranges, mango. Straight juice.

The taste brings a sharp citrus orange; some of the sharpness might be a hop burn. Melon in there, papaya, slight kiwi. Ever so slight green aspect.

The mouthfeel is a little too sharp; but that could tame off within a week or two more. It has a quick creaminess after the sharpness fades before it turns into a dry, almost chalky finish.

More flavor than base and smoother feel. The hairspray finish of the base is all but gone.

Pours hazier and a bit brighter straw yellow than the base beer, billowy white head. Hops addition is over the top, just way too much going on. IMO, Kane took a perfect IPA and ruined it with hops. I couldn't finish the 4 oz pour.
