Pours near-black with a thin tan head.
The nose is coffee and coconut, and the taste follows. The coconut adds some sweetness and kind of undercuts the complexity of the base beer. I prefer the base, but this is good.
The mouthfeel is medium with some oiliness from the coconut.
Overall, tasty but I don't love the coconut addition.

Pours pitch black, impervious to light. Thin mocha head that quickly recedes. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, some coconut, sweet vanilla. Flavor is complex - none of the flavors really dominate, but instead blend in together extremely well. Chocolate and coffee are first noticed, then the coconut appears and the vanilla pops up on the finish.. Sweet but not cloying. This is thick and chewy, like many of Kane’s dark beers, full bodied and delicious. Overall, another fantastic dark beer, love the coconut addition.
