Outer Reef from Kane Brewing Company is a high quality Triple IPA.
Hazy and golden and opaque and everything I want to see in my IPAs. Especially a triple. A strong white head pours thick and lasts a while as you drink.
I want more fruit. I need more citrus. The musty smell is what I expect from a Triple but I really need the balance of something bright. The scent is a little dull.
Outer Reef is dank. And musky. And all I want on the taste side. The fruit I'm missing on the scent comes through more on the taste. As it warms it gets a little bit more of an alcohol feel.
This is a full bodied feel. A light carbonation and mellow aftertaste. For a 10.7% Triple IPA I find myself wanting at least 2 cans when I drink it.
I enjoy this option from Kane. It is hardy and heavy and let's you know that you're drinking it. As a Triple IPA Outer Reef is not close to a daily drinker but when you want a heavy hitter then get yourself a 4-pack of Outer Reef.

Can to snifter.
Look: hazy, dark yellow. Big white foamy head. Very good retention.
Aroma: light tropical fruit, pineapple, hay. Very light in strength.
Taste: smooth malt base, papaya, hint of ginger, some mango, orange and pineapple. Very tasty.
Feel: very smooth for a triple, creamy, medium to full body, tingly carbonation.
Very nice. A tasty a smooth triple.

Some nice complexity from the triple dry-hop attack. Strong tangerine taste. One of the more high-octane IPAs I've had at 10.7%. As the beer warmed, I was looking for additional complexity, but the booze came on strong instead.
