Good frothy head. The smell jumped out of the can before pouring. Fruity apricots. Nice taste. Feel good as well. Solid 4.1

Creamy, slightly off white head, doesn’t get deeper than one finger, adequate retention, good thickness to the lacing streaks. Standard opaque golden haze in the glass. Strong pineapple presence to the nose supplemented by passion fruit and peach, more juicy than tartly biting, the dankness if fresh and not too green, maybe some tangerine but not much citrus, no pine resin or the like. Medium in body, on the dry side yet without a tacky texture. Same semi-tropical fruit profile with some melon and apricot, here the dankness has a marijuana edge with some tobacco ash to boot. Whisper of blood orange and tangerine. Turns heavier through the finish rather than lift and dissolve. Have to consider this an average beer, which shouldn’t be construed as a slam. It is just getting harder and harder for an IPA to make a distinct impression. (Canned 3/31/21)

Wax Comb from Kane Brewing Company is a fairly complex IPA. The pinks and yellows and blues on the can and the idea of a wax honeycomb hive pattern let you know you're in for a bit of a ride.
This IPA pours an extremely hazy yellow straw. Opaque and murky as murky gets. Decent amount of white head lasted a bit and good lacing follows.
This Kane smells of hops and a bit of fruit. The many dry-hopped additions definitely come through here for your nose.
Wax Comb has a swirl of hoppy tastes as well. Dank flavors with some citrus in the background. But definitely a hop heavy beer.
A medium bodied carbonation comes with your sips. And a fairly mellow aftertaste considering the levels of hops involved here.
All in all, Wax Comb is yet another quality pour from Kane. If Party Wave is on their lighter side and Head High is that perfect middle ground then Wax Comb falls into the heavy end of Kane's flavor spectrum. A great option when you want a fairly hoppy IPA.

Pours an opaque orange/pineapple juice color, with a quick receding head.Leaves lacing on glass. Smell is sour candy, tropical drink, many hops in the DDH process.Taste is guava, cantaloupe,a bit dank like weed resin.Feel is medium bodied with a juicy finish,a tad bit chewy.Ample carbonation. With so many hops involved it seems overly complex in my opinion. Overall this is still a really enjoyable overly complicated NEIPA. Worth trying-
