Since our Fifth Anniversary, we started releasing a second unique blend to help commemorate the occasion. This year the second bottle is 2922, a blend of hand selected barrel-aged imperial stouts and porters that were individually chosen from our stock of over 200 spirit barrels. The blend was aged in stainless and then conditioned on Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans and cinnamon. 2922 expresses deep layers of caramel, chocolate and maple, for a final finish similar to a maple syrup drenched French toast.

Kind of a Sunday Brunch/Night To End All Dawns mash-up==aged an additional year to late 2020. Deep, dark color, minimal head. Very rich chocolate/maple syrup/cinnamon flavors with bourbon and wood barrel undertones. A true dessert sipping beer. Taste and alcohol degraded on last warmed sip, but I'm not quibbling. A special treat!

Poors black, little bit of brown foam. Big sweet smell, vanilla, cinnamon, pastry. Smoooth mouthfeel, but pretty boozy. Sharp cinnamon head-on, mellowing into a smooth mix of bourbon, vanilla, chocolate, beer. Amazing

Pours pitch black, impervious to light. Thin mocha head slowly recedes. Huge maple and chocolate aroma mix gently with cinnamon and vanilla. Cinnamon dominates the palate, followed by vanilla, Chocolate, and sweet maple. Barrel aging rounds it out nicely. Fairly full bodied, carbonation adds to a creamy texture. Overall the maple drenched French toast mission was achieved, although the cinnamon was a bit overpowering IMO. Still delicious.

I’m not a big pastry stout fan in general but this was not that. Strong ale is a good category I suppose. Dark, thick, big chocolatey taste with just enough bourbon in the background. Perfect beer for the fire pit last night!

not enough credit is being said for their anniversary blends. i thought last years 2557 was as good as it would get....dead wrong. this beer is BAA with with a good dose of vanilla, much fuller feel and not nearly as hot. this brew is exceptional! Thnx @JLK7299 for sharing!

Amazing stout; tons of vanilla, marshmallows, dark and milk chocolate,
Bourbon, oak, light cinnamon and maple. Super thick and
Complex, wish I had grabbed more of these.

The matte black appearance perfectly matches the bottle, as the body builds a short but dense tan foam that settles to a creamy persistent film.
The blend itself is beautifully balanced with wonderful barrel character and stout elements. It's a little smoky of charred oak and nutty of savory cacao-like roast, while the vanilla is just present enough to round it out lusciously, and develop a touch of Tootsie Roll. The cinnamon adds a mild accent, but pleasantly remains in the background, enhancing a sort of maple-cola flavor that the bourbon creates, without amplifying the heat. The body is moderate, and has a fine but crackly carbonation that finishes semi-dry.
They just keep knocking me out with amazing blends. The added flavorings here are a rare and honestly never necessary step when it comes to Kane, but a deliciously welcome bonus for this anniversary take.
---
Having this a year later, the cinnamon has risen and the vanilla has faded, and I can see how one of the reviewers compares this to BAA. However, it's a more measured cinnamon presence, albeit greater now than it was originally. Yet compared to BAA, instead of the overly explosive punch to the face that BAA is, this is a better beer, by far.
