Hidden Cove was brewed with two-row base malt backed by flaked oats and wheat, with a touch of light crystal malt for added body and foam retention. It was hopped with Simcoe Pellets in the kettle and Simcoe Cryo in the whirlpool. It was then dry-hopped with a combination of Simcoe Pellets and Cryo, Citra Pellets and Cryo, and Mosaic.

Building yet another sensational New England-styled IPA on the backs of Simcoe, Mosaic and Citra hops, the underlying employment of wheat, oats and candied malts gives this brand a decidedly dank sweetness.
Not hidden for long, Hidden Cove becomes a hideout for rife aromatics of cannabis accented citrus, tropical and potpourri. All those herbacious fruitiness floats upon a dim pastel golden color and a creamy eggshell froth. Once on the tongue, its the pastry and cereal laden taste that invites a sweetness of honey, light caramel and agave.
Creamy, smooth and persistently malty, the hops unfold on the middle palate with a citrus leading taste of mandarin orange, kumquat and red grapefruit. A a more orchard fruit flavor of nectarine and plum come into play, its a late palate of peppery grasses, white grapefruit, lime and hemp that creates a botanical bite of gin, verbena, tea and tonic to balance out the malt smoothness in the end.
Medium bodied and fuller for a traditional Pale Ale, this New England styled beer carries a malty-dry creaminess with a crisp, clean and refreshing taste despite the linger of malt sweetness. A medium long linger of botanicals and hemp marginally outlasts the persistence of malt.

16 oz. can dated 9/16/19. Poured into Aslin stemless goblet.
L: Pale golden-orange, hazy. 1F+ head with OK retention, quite a bit of lacing on sides and a soapy cap and ring.
S: Citrus, especially grapefruit. Earthy and grassy notes.
T: Very much like the nose. Lots of grapefruit and lemon peel up front, grassy notes on back end to slightly bitter finish.
F: Light side of medium-bodied. Moderately carbonated, but not as drying and crisp and you might expect. Good enough balance and construction.
O: Reminds me a lot of Carton's SS Hief, which is a good thing.
