sample at brewery, followed by growler.
LOOK: dark blue/purple, hints of brown in the color. Small off white head.
AROMA: Blueberry and vanilla jump out.
TASTE: more blueberry, light citrus, crackery finish. Like a hoppy blueberry pie.
FEEL: light body, crisp bubbles, sneaky good carbonation.

Canned on 09/16/19.
Moderate pour yields a 5/4 inch light pink head over a cranberry juice colored body with no lacing and head dissipates down to nothing after a few minutes. Very nice nose of blueberry pie. Yup. Taste of pie and IPA is a miss for me, like most berry IPAs. I guess I just don't like a bitter finish in my berry pies? Feel is a tad thin and overall, I think I've said enough. Cheers!

Moderate pour yields a 5/4 inch light pink head over a cranberry juice colored body with no lacing and head dissipates down to nothing after a few minutes. Very nice nose of blueberry pie. Yup. Taste of pie and IPA is a miss for me, like most berry IPAs. I guess I just don't like a bitter finish in my berry pies? Feel is a tad thin and overall, I think I've said enough. Cheers!

16 oz. can dated 9/26/19 from brewery and poured into Ocelot IPA glass. Blueberry pie beer. Let's give it a whirl.
L: Very small head, not much retention, a few spots of lacing. Hard to describe the beer color. Maybe cordovan, but a bit of a blue tint to it?
S: Blueberries, sweetness, pastry, citrus, dairy. Think they did their job fairly well here.
T: Well...it really does have that blueberry pie thing going for it. Quite sweet. Pretty much follows nose.
F: Medium bodied, lightly carbonated. You have to say they reached their goal on construction. Too sweet, and I have a decent tolerance for that sort of thing.
O: Creative, tasty, but totally depends on your tolerance for sweet. Definitely best as a one-off.
