Delicious bare bones oatmeal stout. Sometime you don’t want 15%, barrel aged, adjuncts packed in. Just a nice, easy oatmeal stout. Pours black as night, not much aroma. Taste is of malts, a touch of licorice, chocolate. Great creamy mouthfeel. Easy stout to drink.

A: Creamy two plus inch dark tan head dominates atop a roasted, oily black colored body. The head is outstanding in both terms of size, and resilience, a forever retention that is long standing and mesmerizing. Sticky film lacing around the vessel smothers the vessel with a thick adherence.
S: Dry roasted bitterness, fine grounded roast, is smooth, even toned, along with some dried coffee creamer. Dark dried plums with rounding hints of black cherry skins. Earthy roast and oats are hearty, and of medium intensity.
T: The flavor was thick creamy oats, porridge or oatmeal like, with a huge coffee roasted bitterness of freshly grounded beans. Silty smooth wet ash, charred freshness, along with dark plums. Roasted oats, are thick and chewy, black cherry skins and some campfire minerality gives that roasty bomb experience. Some smoked caramel and cinnamon spicing as well vanilla rounds things out.
M: Thick and creamy on the mouthful will be an understatement. It's like a whole wet loaf of bread in your mouth, huge creamy oats seemingly expand on the tongue and fill the mouth. I can not remember any beer with a body so thick, that you can probably stand a spoon up in the glass. Huge roasted bitterness covers the tongue with a silty chard character with a lingering stay. Tons of massaging carbonation bubbles give this an excited feel. Chewy, chewy perfect.
O: Overall a next level fullness with an extraordinary roasted appeal. Outstanding drinkability, silty wet charred ash lacing on the tongue. Hearty is an understatement.

Bold move making an Imperial version of an English oatmeal stout. Roasted barley comes through foremost, with an underlying hop bite. Little to no head, dark brown brew of medium body. Overall a smooth-tasting brew, without any real exclamation points.
