11.6% barrel-aged Imperial Milk Porter that was finished in red wine barrels. This beer was first aged for 8 months in Barton bourbon barrels that we picked up directly from the distillery in Kentucky. It was then transferred into Syrah red wine barrels from Alba Vineyard, where it rested for 10 months, and developed a strong red wine flavor. This blend has cherry and raspberry flavors up front, which lead way to a soft toffee character

Pours dark and thin, minimal foamy head that recedes quickly. Smells like a glass of wine. Think chocolate covered cherry and raspberry. Flavor is very fruit forward. Lots of cherry and raspberry. Good chocolate flavor mixed in as well. Reminds me of a cherry cordial candy. This is a very different barrel aged beer. Unlike any other of Kane’s offerings. Body is fairly thin, carbonation is very lively. Overall a very unique BA imperial mill porter, wine barrel aging presents as if the beer was fermented on fresh fruit.

11/14/21 update - body and flavor faded a bit, wine flavor is very prevalent. Interesting how it aged.
