Barrel-aged imperial stout conditioned on toasted coconut, Haitian cacao nibs and Mexican vanilla beans. It is inspired by your favorite candy bar and enhanced through barrel-aging.

It's been a while, but this beer just begged to have a full review written as soon as I smelled it!
Pours almost black, with a medium sized tan head that slowly recedes to a collar. Expected lack of head retention due to the extended barrel aging.
The aroma just explodes from the glass! Rich, decadent, dark chocolate syrup is the first thing that jumps out at you! Sweet toasted coconut, cocoa powder, and roasted malts follow. Imagine all of the above adorning a perfect bowl of vanilla bean ice cream with caramelized bourbon drizzled on top and that's what the aroma is! Extreme decadence, but somehow well restrained and balanced!
The flavor brings more of the same, but there's a more noticeable touch of bourbon and charred oak. This is a welcome addition, as the incredible decadence from the nose could have translated to an overly sweet, cloying flavor. That is not at all the case here! Bitter baker's chocolate is balanced by sweet, genuine vanilla bean, not the oft-overly-artificial vanilla extract flavor found in so many stouts these days. Just when sweet toasted coconut threatens to overtake your palate you're met with a perfect dry finish of oak and cocoa powder. A touch of booze on the end reminds you that this is indeed a 12.4% sipper. This is an astoundingly well rounded barrel aged stout!
The mouth feel is slick and viscous, coating the palate well, but it is not as thick and chewy as some of the more modern barrel aged stouts. That is perhaps the only real knock I could give this beer, and even that is a slight one, and one more of preference than right or wrong. The carbonation is minimal, and again it finishes quite dry for a beer so sweet and adjunct-laden.
Wow! Kane always kills it with their stouts, but this is the first one in a while to truly blow me out of the water with how good it is! This reminds me of a cuvee of the '15 ANTEAD set that had all 3 of these adjuncts in it (cacao/vanilla/coconut). A damn near perfect beer, and one that I wish I hadn't pre-traded 2 of my 4 bottles of!

Bottle to snifter. (From DC)
Tons of coconut, both raw and toasted notes. Dry cocoa. Touch of vanilla.
Syrupy, sweet. Flat. Very tasty. Some mediocre attributes, but overall very good.

Pours very dark with ample mocha head. Aroma is massive chocolate, followed by coconut, dark brown sugar, and Kane’s signature bourbon barrel aromatics. Flavor is coconut, chocolate, sweet vanilla, brown sugar, some molasses. Perfect amount of sweetness. My wife noted it tastes like a chocolate covered coconut candy bar (mounds) and I agree. Light carbonation adds to a tremendous creamy texture. Oily and slick, medium to full bodied. Overall one of my favorite of Kane’s barrel aged imperial stouts - think coconut ANTEAD...
For me it doesn’t get much better than this...

500 ml bought at the brewery today

Update - 3/29/20
Last bottle - unfortunately most of the coconut faded, still lots of chocolate and vanilla.
