This one does not pour that pretty of a color. It’s a super murky looking brown. Head ends up being a pretty nice creamy halo around the glass with nothing in the middle.
This one smells very woody to me. It also has a nice tootsie roll chocolate smell going on. Some subtle licorice aromas and some dark fruit smells too.
Taste follows the nose very closely but the licorice actually becomes a little more pronounced. Other than that it’s same as the nose with the bourbon mixed in, which I didn’t notice much on the nose.
Mouthfeel is full big body, low carbonation, a nice kick of booze with a low to medium bitterness. The heat lingers a little after the sip which makes it an ideal beer to sip nice and slow.

Rich and smooth. Velvety mouthfeel. A whopping 13.2% abv that is beautifully disguised. Brown sugar, molasses and toffee, along with a touch of caramel in the taste mix. My only beef is an ever so slight harshness that creeps in, but that's more about my lack of ardor for rye rather than any knock on the quality of this fine brew. Savor this one, and enjoy!

Pours a murky dark caramel color, very similar to its other variants. Big boozy aroma, lots of brown sugar, caramel, vanilla. Very flavorful; loads of molasses, brown sugar, caramel, toffee. This variant is slightly less flavorful that the bourbon one, has a shorter finish, almost grassy. Can distinctly taste the rye barrel instead of the bourbon barrel. Full bodied and creamy like the other variants. Overall a very good variant, I enjoyed trying all 3 at once.

This one pours a darkish brown color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like gooey caramel, dark fruit, brown sugar, chocolate, toffee, rye, and vanilla/oak.
This is super solid. It's sweet, but not too much, with brown sugar and caramel all over, with lesser notes of toffee, chocolate, raisin, oak, and rye whiskey. It's not a very strong barrel character - it's just enough to integrate the beer and add some warmth.
This is medium bodied, a bit creamy, and with very little booziness.
Kane obviously is adept at brewing burly and decadent stouts, so it only makes sense that they could also brew a mean barleywine.
