Jumping Rainbows is brewed with a perfect balance of Pilsner malt, wheat, oats and a touch of crystal to create this densely hazy pale orange IPA.⁣

⁣It’s hopped with Chinook and Centennial on the hot-side along with Citra, Chinook, Amarillo and Columbus in the dry hop.⁣

Many thx to The_Kriek_Freak for this can.

A - Opaque dark medium golden orange with frothy off-white colored lacing.

S - Juicy spicy citrus, grapefruit, spicy grapefruit rind, pineapple, and resiny pine.

T - Soft malt base showcases nothing but hops. From start to finish: resiny pine, citrus, grapefruit, and some spiciness with a nice underlying bitterness on the back side.

M - Soft and chewy medium body with a semi-dry finish.

O - A rock solid Kane D-IPA (as always).

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a conical pint glass; canned 09/18/20.
A: Pours a rather hazy, golden color leaving a one to two finger, lemon chiffon head, rim plus retention, and discrete, foamy rings of lacing.
S: Aromas of pineapple, white grapefruit, and caramel with notes of barley and pine.
T: More semisweet than semidry. Caramel, white grapefruit, pine, and lime all play a rôle in the flavor providing a balance between the malt and fruit. Strong bitterness increasingly evident as it warms.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonate. Smooth.
O: My best friend brought me a variety pack of Kane beers he had gotten recently. This is my third: this is a gorgeously executed Imperial IPA, not at all boozy clocking in at 8.00% ABV.

Western-style Imperial IPA pours cloudy gold with a thinnish white head. Western hop bite comes through with Chinook hops being used in the kettle, whirlpool AND dry-hopped process. Amarillo dry-hopping merely adds to the West Coast vibe. This is a beer that heads straight for your sinuses--a nice wake-up call.

Another winner of an IPA from Kane. Hoppy but not crazy, good feel and solid Aroma profile.

Can to snifter. (canned 6/2)

LOOK: fairly hazy somewhat dark yellow, creamy eggshell head, great retention and foamy legs.
AROMA: fresh whiff of grass, then some sweet tropical fruit notes, pineapple, orange, grapefruit, maybe a hint of mango.
TASTE: not quite all the flavor hinted at in the aroma, but fruity and smooth with some light earthy and sour notes in the finish. Maybe lime.
FEEL: easy drinking, smooth, light bodied.

Really a pretty good offering from Kane even from their high standards. Started off thinking this was just OK, and I had a similar thought a few days ago having my first can, (but I did not log my comments on that one); but I liked this more and more as I got through it. My initial #'s were just under 4.0 and they slowly crept up as I added comments and noticed more nuance.
