Can to tulip glass. This is my 2nd Black is Beautiful iteration (Icarus was the 1st). Hoping to sample quite a few of these over the next months if I can get them.
LOOK: thick black color, big creamy tan head. Excellent retention. Very Beautiful Indeed.
AROMA: roasted malt, some mineral.
TASTE: Very Roasty. Roasted Malt. Mineral. Coffee. Hint of Licorice.
FEEL: full bodied and super creamy. Very smooth. Very nice in this aspect.
Very good execution by Kane. Similar to the Icarus effort, but maybe a hair better. Probably the super smooth mouthfeel is the difference.

side by side tasting of 4 Black is Beautiful beers.
Kane was the clear winner. Finback, Icarus and Springhouse were all a touch or 2 below. Finback was probably the 2nd choice.
Still; all were somewhat similar and quality.
