Waimea Pro is brewed with pilsner malt and hopped in the Whirlpool with Citra & Riwaka, followed by a generous dry-hop of Waimea, Galaxy, and Nectaron.

Waimea tasting of 3 Kane beers: Waimea, Waimea Punch, Waimea Pro.
Waimea Pro is probably the least of the 3, but still impressive. I think the other hops get in the way of what is one of my favorite hops: Waimea.
LOOK: Cloudy/hazy yellow, medium white head, good retention.
AROMA: perfume, hay, musty, pineapple, papaya.
TASTE: rain, papaya, grapefruit. tropical fruit backbones shines through late.
FEEL: very good carbonation. bubbly feel lasts here longer than the Waimea or the Punch. Props for that.
Very nice. The perfumy musty flavors take way from the Waimea in my opinion, but maybe that is up some others alleys. Not bad nonetheless.

Can to snifter. Used as a known quantity gauge in sampling some other IPA's.
Very good again.
