Waimea tasting of 3 Kane beers: Waimea, Waimea Punch, Waimea Pro.
LOOK: cloudy, hazy yellow. medium white head. good retention.
AROMA: rain, light tropical fruit (papaya, passion fruit), palm leaves.
TASTE: light, fruity, hint of wheat/grains and grass.
FEEL: crisp, light carbonation, very smooth, light body.
Very clean. Wonderful hop flavor. The additions to the "Punch" are suberb, but this is a nice tribute to the base hop that is the backbone of all 3 beers. I like this better than the Pro, where I feel other hops dull the qualities of Waimea down.
